Programs
Somerset Educational Services is in the business of helping
children reach their potential through carefully structured
programs designed to impart real-world skills. Serving the
emotionally disturbed (ED)/learning disabled (LD) K-12 student
population within Riverside and San Bernardino counties, Somerset
provides an individualized approach, addressing both the clinical
and academic needs of each student.
Services:
- Somerset schools provide a complete learning experience in a
highly structured and closely supervised setting, enabling the
student to return to a public school program as soon as
possible
- Mental health services are provided by master’s-level interns
and/or licensed therapists as part of the structured program
day
- Per the Individualized Education Program mandated by the
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, students have no less
than one individual and one group therapy session per week of
school attendance
- Students are provided specialized social skills training in the
classroom so as to experience real-world application, such as
vocational education, practical job skills, independent living
skills, drug and alcohol education, and other necessary life
skills
